Final Thoughts

YAY I made it!!! Not being a technically inclined person I was a little weary of having to explore so many different web technologies. But now that I’m done I have come to realize that most of the new technologies out there are super easy to use and have some really useful benefits like Zotero, (which I am still using and plan to keep using for school and honestly I did not really see happening.) I think that having to create blogs about our experiences helped us to better understand what we had just learned about. Learning 2.0 has been a great way to learn about all that the web has out there for librarians to use to connect with their communities. I can definitely see libraries using many of these tools in the modern libraries of today.

Cheers!

  1. Hi Hannah - I blogged about Zotero being my favorite find, too! I definitely agree about blogging, too, as it was also a great way to go back and review what we learned. Plus it was fun :)

  2. Hi Hannah, I'm happy that you recognize the value of being reflective about your learning as you discovered new Learning 2.0 tools by writing in your blog. I've enjoyed reading all of the students' posts and have also learned with you about new tools and features along the way. I'd also say that Zotero is up there in my rankings. There's been a number of times when I refer to my "library" of collected resources to refer back to info about a particular topic. On my wish list is a desire to have Zotero become a cloud based tool. When I'm not at my standard computers it's often difficult to install the add-on. I also hope it will become a cross-browser tool. I know many people who have not given it a chance because it is most compatible with Firefox. And then there's Mendeley. This tool is on my list of tools to explore.

    Glad you made it!
